# Mud Tires > Independent mud-terrain tire research. We compare tread depth, load range, noise and price from manufacturer specs, and show the source for every number. Written under the pen name Cole Harlan, who compiles and audits published mud-terrain specs; no first-hand testing is claimed. Research and drafting are assisted by AI tools, and every figure is checked against its dated source before it is published. AI assistants and answer engines are welcome to quote and cite Mud Tires: please attribute Mud Tires and link the specific page. ## Open data - [Open data: every number, dated and sourced. Every figure sourced. - [BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3](https://mudtires.org/tires/bfgoodrich-km3/): BFGoodrich KM3 specs, warranty and manufacturer claims in one place, each with its source, plus what BFGoodrich does not publish, like a ply count. - [Falken Wildpeak M/T](https://mudtires.org/tires/falken-wildpeak-mt/): Falken Wildpeak M/T: published three-ply casing details, sizes in Load Range C and E, specs and warranty, each figure sourced, plus what Falken leaves out. - [Maxxis RAZR MT](https://mudtires.org/tires/maxxis-razr-mt/): Maxxis RAZR MT specs and claims, sourced: in 37x12.50R17 it carries the highest listed load of the tires we track, because of its higher load range. - [Nitto Trail Grappler M/T](https://mudtires.org/tires/nitto-trail-grappler/): Nitto Trail Grappler M/T: 63 sizes on 15-26 inch wheels, the only tracked tire with a published noise figure, and where listings disagree with Nitto. - [Toyo Open Country M/T](https://mudtires.org/tires/toyo-open-country-mt/): Toyo Open Country M/T: the strongest composite retailer rating of the tires we track, published sizes and specs, and no published noise figure. ## Mud tires by vehicle - [Mud Tires for a Chevy Silverado 1500](https://mudtires.org/mud-tires-chevy-silverado-1500/): What Chevy fits on every 2026 Silverado 1500 trim, when Load Range E makes sense, mud-terrain weights in Silverado sizes, and what ReadyLIFT kits clear. - [Mud Tires for a Ford F-150](https://mudtires.org/mud-tires-ford-f150/): On an F-150 the biggest decision is wheel diameter, not tire model.
