What we collect

Contact form. If you use it, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply and so we have a record of any correction raised against a published page.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address, kept until you unsubscribe. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes the address rather than suppressing it.

Server logs. Our host records standard technical data on each request — IP address, browser user agent, page requested. These exist for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build a profile of you.

Cookies

We set no advertising or analytics cookies. The site uses functional cookies only: our caching layer may set one to serve pages correctly, and WordPress sets a session cookie for signed-in administrators. There is no cross-site tracking from this site.

Affiliate links are the exception worth naming. Clicking one may set a cookie on the merchant’s site so they can attribute a sale to us. That cookie is governed by the merchant’s privacy policy, not ours, and we never see your purchase details — only whether a sale occurred.

What we don’t do

We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or heatmap tools. We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing. No vendor receives your details, and no vendor can pay for placement or a better verdict.

How long we keep things

Contact messages are retained for up to 24 months so we can trace the history of a correction, then deleted. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs follow our host’s standard retention, typically a matter of weeks.

Who processes your data

The site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes server logs and stores form submissions and newsletter addresses on our behalf. Affiliate networks receive click and conversion data, not your identity. No other third party receives your personal data.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK or EU you hold these rights under the GDPR; in California, comparable rights under the CCPA. Email us and we will action it, normally within 30 days. Consent to the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link.

Changes to this policy

If we add analytics or advertising in future, we will update this page and change the date above before those systems go live — not after.
